A Tale of Two Halves

Conservation is a conversation between past and present—a dance of decay and renewal, loss and reclamation.

In these before-and-after photographs, we see the dialogue unfold: stone darkened by time, now luminous again; a broken window reveal, reshaped with careful hands; a teetering chimney, steadied; a darkened globe glinting with gold.

As John Ruskin once said:

“The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”

These buildings, like us, wear their struggles, but they also carry their resilience – and we love being a part of that.

The beauty is in the contrast. In what was and what is. The story of craft, patience, and the triumph of thoughtful repair.
